Ingredients

For the Ethiopian Spiced Rice:

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until they are translucent.
  2. Stir in cumin, coriander, cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
